What do I bring?
In 1985 (yes, a long time ago) I was hired as a Product Manager at Esselte, a global office product manufacturer. This marketing position connected with all aspects of the business, finance, manufacturing, distribution, sales and most importantly the customer. It served me well. In 2015 I retired as SVP Sales and Marketing for Esselte North America reporting to the Global CEO. I was an officer of the company and member of the management team. Since then I have studied how business has changed and more importantly where it is going. I meet regularly with several colleagues who hold board positions with progressive companies in Canada and the United States.
During my tenure at Esselte we were acquired by a private equity company that implemented the 'Lean' business philosophy. At first I wasn't sold, I went kicking and screaming with the new direction.
It changed my business life forever.
